Need to Save Space? Consider Using Component Wall Shelf
Benefits of Using Component Wall Shelf
- Saves precious space in small rooms especially in condos
- Saves floor space by placing components on a wall instead of on a stand / furniture below the TV
- People who have little children can keep the AV components out of their kids’ reach
What’s the Difference Between Component Wall Shelf and Regular Wall Shelf from Ikea?
Key Differences – Component Wall Shelf vs Regular Wall Shelf
Component wall shelves are equipped with vertical wall mounting bracket which also serves as a wire management channel whereas regular shelves don’t have that feature.
Wires can pass through the wire management channel vertically up through a Component Wall Shelf, whereas regular wall shelves are not designed to have cables pass through the shelf. *This is really important if you need to run power cord or cable up from an outlet below the shelf.
Regular wall shelves don’t provide enough depth (front to back) for most AV components whereas Component Wall Shelves are designed to fit most AV components.
